Maagal: The Nehirim Womens' Circle is a support group for Jewish women
facing questions of sexuality, gender, and religion. The group is primarily
oriented toward lesbians but all women are invited to participate. Each meeting
is facilitated by Chani Getter, and includes sharing and discussion. Most meetings
also feature a guest speaker. Confidentiality, support, and compassionate listening
are central values. The group meets the first Monday of every month at the JCC in Manhattan at 7:30pm.
Ma'agal has been ongoing for one year now, and our meetings have been a full and heartfelt success.
